Where Are We? - just 45 minutes from the motorway

The cottage is situated in the village of Bothel, just off the A595 between Cockermouth (8miles) and Wigton (7 miles).

From the North Leave the M6 at junction 41 and take the B5305 towards Wigton (approximately 20 miles). At the junction with the A595 turn left towards Cockermouth and Workington. After approximately 8 miles turn right into Bothel Village at the Greyhound Inn. Poppy Cottage is an end of terrace property approximately 200 yards on the left. On-street parking immediately outside the cottage or in the lay-by opposite.



From the South/East
Leave the M6 at junction 40 (Penrith) or if travelling from the East, continue on the A66 from Penrith. Follow the A66 to Keswick (approximately 18 miles). At the roundabout take the A591 (signposted 'Carlisle') and follow the road for approximately 12 miles. At the junction with the A595 turn right. After approximately 200 yards turn left at the Greyhound Inn into Bothel Village. Poppy Cottage is an end of terrace property approximately 200 yards on the left. On street parking immediately outside the cottage or in the lay-by opposite.
