Situated in the North Cumbria village of Bothel, Poppy Cottage offers fully equipped self catering holiday accommodation on the fringes of the Lake District but with the added advantage of easy access to the Solway Coast and Eden Valley. You can even take a day trip to Hadrian's Wall country from here.

Suitable for families or couples, the cottage is an ideal base for walkers, climbers, cyclists, bird watchers. Boat hire and watersports on Derwentwater (12 miles).

We want your holiday to be as relaxed as possible, we'll do your grocery shopping in time for your arrival and you can also order local produce from our Taste of Cumbria list to enjoy during your stay. Just pack a suitcase, we'll do the rest.
